WALKERSVILLE BURGESS AND COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL MEETING TO DISCUSS ANNEXATION
February 22, 2005
The Burgess and Commissioners of Walkersville met for a special meeting on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. All property owners south and west of the town limits were invited to participate in a discussion of annexation. The meeting was open to the public. Those in attendance included Burgess Whitmore, Commissioners Eyler, Magluilo, Schildt, and Zimmerman, Town Manager Gloria Rollins, Planning and Zoning Administrator Susan Hauver, Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Katherine Nicodemus, John Nicodemus, and Kitty Baker. There was no press.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the town’s interest in annexing properties on the east side of the Monocacy River north of Rt. 26.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Katherine Nicodemus, John Nicodemus, and Kitty Baker were present to hear the town’s plans to try to annex properties along the Monocacy River. Burgess Whitmore stated the following proposal regarding the Nicodemus property:
Burgess Whitmore recommended that the Nicodemus’ use their own attorney to review the documents prior to accepting.
Attorney David Severn will draft the petition for annexation for all property owners. Then the process follows:
Mr. Charles Nicodemus stated that the above conditions are agreeable to the family.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
