Walkersville is very fortunate to have four wonderful park facilities. The parks are open 8:00am until sunset, year round. Three of our parks have beautiful pavilions that can be reserved for your special family functions.



Walkersville Community Park

   
(Located at the end of Kenneth Drive, off of Biggs Ford Road)

“Pick up” baseball/softball field, volleyball court, fitness trail, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, playground area, picnic tables with grills, and three covered rental pavilions.

Heritage Farm Park

   
(Located on Devilbiss Bridge Road, across from Glade Elementary School)

Nine-hole golf course, Eighteen-hole Disc golf course, baseball fields, softball fields, soccer fields and multi-purpose fields. Sports fields are available when not being used or reserved by the Glade Valley Athletic Association. There is also one covered pavilion for rent, swing sets, garden plots for rent, and a historic manor house with outbuildings. The yard waste recycling and compost piles are located near the water tower, and a horse ring is located below the garden plots. The horse ring is available when not being used or reserved by the Heritage Equestrian Association.

(Located at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and South Glade Road)

Basketball court, playground equipment and one covered rental pavilion.

Gilmore C. Trout Memorial Park

   
(Located at the corner of Sandstone Drive and Bedrock Drive in the Sun Meadow subdivision)

Dedicated on October 1, 2006 to the memory of Gilmore Trout, who served the Town for 29 years, 20 as the Burgess and 9 as a Commissioner. Swings, two playground equipment systems, fire hydrant fountain, blue "trout stream" sidewalk, riding spring toys.

Renting of Park Pavilions

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. Reservations for all park pavilions require a rental fee of $40 plus a separate $50 security deposit. The security deposit is returned if the pavilion is left clean and orderly after your event. Each pavilion has a capacity of 50 persons. The pavilions are in demand, so make your reservations early by stopping by Town Hall. No reservations are accepted over the telephone.
