COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
The Town of Walkersville Comprehensive Plan and Comprehensive Plan Map was adopted in 2005 and is updated every 5 years.
Permits are needed to construct or erect any permanent structure (such as a fence, shed, deck, garage,
carport or swimming pool), or to make certain changes to existing structures.
Check with your homeowner's association first for requirements which may differ from the Town Code.
Home occupations, such as professional offices, childcare, or music instructions, also require a permit.
For more information on requirements, contact the Town Planning & Zoning Administrator at the Town Hall.
- Home Occupation Certificates may be obtained at the Town Hall.
- Building Permit applications may be obtained at the Frederick County Division of Permitting and
Development Review Office located at 30 North Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
